Notes

Snow Cone flavor options really are limitless!  You just need ice, a blender and your favorite syrup – homemade or store bought…The only rule to this recipe is to have fun!
Here are a few of my favorite home made syrups:

Refreshing Cucumber
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • Vodka (optional)
Combine sugar, water and sliced cucumber into a sauce pot.  Heat on medium/low heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the cucumber steep in the hot syrup until it’s cool.  Strain and refrigerate until you’re ready to use.
This will provide you with about 3/4 cup of syrup.  If using, add your alcohol into your chilled syrup just before serving

Strawberry
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • Vodka or Light Rum (optional)
Combine sugar, water and sliced strawberries into a sauce pot.  Heat on medium/low heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the strawberries steep in the hot syrup until it’s cool.  Strain and refrigerate until you’re ready to use.
This will provide you with about a cup of syrup, depending on how juicy your strawberries are.  If using, add your alcohol into your chilled syrup just before serving

Pineapple Coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 8oz can of Pineapple Chunks
  • Malibu Coconut Rum (optional)
Combine sugar, water and pineapple chunks (including the juice) into a sauce pot.  Heat on medium/low heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the pineapple steep in the hot syrup until it’s cool.  Strain and refrigerate until you’re ready to use
This will provide you with about a cup of syrup.  If using, add your alcohol into your chilled syrup just before serving

Lemon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 large lemon (sliced)
  • Vodka (optional)
Combine sugar, water and sliced lemon into a sauce pot.  Heat on medium/low heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the lemon steep in the hot syrup until it’s cool.  Strain and refrigerate until you’re ready to use
This will provide you with about 3/4 cup of syrup.  If using, add your alcohol into your chilled syrup before serving

ASSEMBLING YOUR SNOW CONES:
Fill your blender with ice cubes and blend on high until the ice becomes fine and snow-like.  Fill your cups with the blended ice and top each with your favorite syrups.  Serve with a spoon and a straw… Yummm!
